Three core advantages that define the HP MJF 1200 3D Printer

From Design to Part. Simplified.

The full solution — 3D Printer, Material Management System, and Natural Cooling Unit — working together to create an easy, productive workflow that fits into your workspace.

1
Design & Prepare
Start with the intuitive build-preparation software. Simply drag 3D files into the software, arrange 3D parts efficiently within your build, and send them to print.
2
Print
The HP MJF 3D Printer deposits a thin layer of powder, applies agents, and fuses the material layer by layer. Each layer is fused simultaneously across the full build area, delivering consistent, isotropic strength and predictable layer times.
3
Cool Naturally
Once printing is complete, the job is extracted into the Natural Cooling Unit. Meanwhile, the 3D printer is immediately ready to start your next build—maximizing productivity.
4
Unpack Automatically
Transfer the Natural Cooling Unit to the Material Management System for automated unpacking. 3D parts are cleaned quickly via vibration, while excess powder is automatically recovered and directed to the mixer for reuse—reducing manual handling and speeding up your workflow.

FAQs about the HP MJF 1200 3D Printer

Yes. The 3D Printer is based on HP’s proprietary Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology, which delivers consistent 3D-printed parts across HP’s existing MJF portfolio.
HP Multi Jet Fusion technology enables the production of complex 3D parts that can´t be made by other methods. By using a combination of fusing and detailing agents with area-wide fusing, the technology supports the creation of strong, accurate, watertight3 parts with fine detail.
The 3D Printer offers a build volume of 12 liters. The longest build axis is along the X direction, which can support horizontal part orientation and efficient packing strategies.
The 3D Printer is currently planned for availability in early 20275. Please contact your HP representative for the most up-to-date information.

At launch, the 3D Printer is planned to support HP 3D HR PA 12, enabled by Evonik. Additional compatible materials will be introduced after launch6.
Typical print times can be under 12 hours when using standard print mode with HP 3D High Reusability PA 12, enabled by Evonik, across the full build height1.
Pricing is expected to start below USD $60,0002.
The annual service contract is typically priced at approximately 10% of the full 3D Printing solution hardware price. Final pricing may vary by region and contract terms.
Service coverage generally includes next-business-day parts delivery in many markets7, with most parts designed to be customer-replaceable. When required, in-person service is typically provided within three business days7
3D printing materials pricing is expected to start at approximately USD $100 per kilogram. Pricing is structured to support volume based commercial agreements, with more favorable per kilogram pricing typically available at higher print volumes8.
The 3D printing solution includes Magics Print for HP by Materialise for build preparation and HP 3D Center for system real-time monitoring and fleet management. Both are included with the solution at no additional cost.
HP is working with select post-processing partners to validate compatible solutions. Recommended post-processing workflows are planned to be available at launch.
3DasaService (3DaaS) may be available in select countries, depending on region, offering a flexible consumption-based model. Please contact your HP representative to confirm local availability and applicable terms.
The 3D Printing solution is designed to operate without specialized site infrastructure such as dedicated exhaust systems. Standard electrical connections (110V/230V) and basic environmental controls are recommended for optimal operation. Final site requirements may vary—please consult HP site preparation documentation or your sales representative.
