Yes. The 3D Printer is based on HP’s proprietary Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology, which delivers consistent 3D-printed parts across HP’s existing MJF portfolio.
HP Multi Jet Fusion technology enables the production of complex 3D parts that can´t be made by other methods. By using a combination of fusing and detailing agents with area-wide fusing, the technology supports the creation of strong, accurate, watertight3 parts with fine detail.
The 3D printer offers a build volume of 12 liters, with dimensions of 320 x 165 x 230 mm ( 12.6 x 6.5 x 9 in )3. The longest build axis is along the X direction, which supports horizontal part orientation and efficient packing strategies.

3D printing materials pricing is expected to start at approximately USD $100 per kilogram. Pricing is structured to support volume based commercial agreements, with more favorable per kilogram pricing typically available at higher print volumes8.
The 3D printing solution includes Magics Print for HP by Materialise for build preparation and HP 3D Center for system real-time monitoring and fleet management. Both are included with the solution at no additional cost.
HP is working with select post-processing partners to validate compatible solutions. Recommended post-processing workflows are planned to be available at launch.

The 3D Printing solution is designed to operate without specialized site infrastructure such as dedicated exhaust systems. Standard electrical connections (200-240V, 50/60 Hz, 2 x 16A.) and basic environmental controls are recommended for optimal operation. Final site requirements may vary—please consult HP site preparation documentation or your sales representative.
There is no hardware limit on part count. One full mixed material tank supports up to 20% volumetric packing density on a full 12 L build (equivalent to ~40% mass packing density). Parts can be packed as tightly as geometry allows, with a minimum spacing of ~3 mm between parts. Unlike SLS, print time on the MJF 1200 is independent of packing density: more parts in the build means more parts per hour, not a longer print. Example: 82 parts (~12 cc each) in a full 12 L build in under 12 hours.
