WITH HP MULTI JET FUSION TECHNOLOGY, EBK BETTER SERVES THEIR CUSTOMERS THROUGH PROTOTYPING AND PRODUCTION
CUSTOMER AT A GLANCE
EBK offers engineering, research and development (R&D), and production services to customers, most of whom come from the automotive sector. Founded in 1994 in Gödöllő, Hungary, EBK fully ventured into automotive technology in 2000, focusing on safety features for vehicles, accident research, and accident analysis.
Now with industry-leading 3D scanning and 3D printing technologies, EBK’s engineering team provides manufacturing services to companies and partners throughout the region, as well as to their own projects.
EBK is a member of “Industrial Service Center 3D”—a group of additive manufacturing technology providers that offer world-class 3D printing services.
THE CHALLENGE
Before adopting 3D printing technologies, EBK conducted R&D in-house while outsourcing production, but they wanted to be able to prototype and produce for customers on their own, while also supporting their R&D activities.
The high costs and long production times of their previous production processes pushed them to search for alternative solutions, which is how EBK decided to bring 3D printing in house, specifically HP Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) technology.
“We decided to go with 3D printing because we know that HP is able to offer a technology for us that can be used as prototyping and for production,” said Tamas Kofalvi, CEO of EBK.
