Meet HP's new industrial filament 3D printer

Video thumbnail

Today, November 18, 2025, we are introducing the new industrial filament portfolio. With this step, we aim to reach more customers and ensure we become a trusted partner for more people, helping them in their additive manufacturing journey and adoption. This new introduction enables new materials and opens opportunities in segments such as aerospace, railway, and oil and gas. It creates a new set of possibilities for customers and for HP.

This new set of materials complement the current HP MJF offering very well. We are focusing on materials that could not be printed before, expanding the range we offer to the market. The new filament 3D printing technology is ready to deliver high-quality parts at a low total cost of ownership for our customers.

Product details by Guillem Fabregat

Hi, my name is Guillermo Fabregat, and I am the Product Manager of the HP Industrial Filament Solution. Let me explain the solution.

We have here the first printer, which is a high-temperature filament 3D printer with an open materials platform and a modular design. This design allows it to work with different kinds of materials thanks to interchangeable printing modules; each designed for specific demands.

In addition, we are introducing a filament material management system (MMS), which has three main functionalities.

  • First, it dries and conditions the filament to ensure perfect conditions before printing.
  • Second, it enables full traceability from the materials to the final part.
  • Third, it provides heat treatment for annealing, enhancing properties for PEEK through a crystallization phase to improve chemical resistance, strength, and heat resistance.

Abstract:

HP AM Solutions expands additive manufacturing portfolio with an industrial filament 3D printer designed to unlock high-performance, production-grade applications across different industries.

Detailed summary:

Visitors at Formnext 2025 explored HP's Industrial Filament 3D Printer Solution 600 High Temperature —a modular system that combines HP's trusted quality and industrial expertise with the flexibility of an open materials platform.

This offering features the HP IF 3D Printer 600 HT, the HP IF 3D Printer Materials Management System (MMS), and three interchangeable modules designed for different material types. It empowers manufacturers to innovate with HP Industrial Filament 3D Printer Materials such as PEEK, PAEK, PEEK-CF, and ULTEMTM as well as select third-party options.

The demonstration emphasized the importance of material conditioning and showcased a dedicated Materials Management System (MMS) that dries filament to eliminate moisture—a critical step for materials like PEEK and PEI. Attendees also discovered the printer's annealing capabilities, which enable crystallization in amorphous materials and enhance mechanical properties.
