Ankle foot orthoses

by Crispin

The Ankle Foot Orthosis is designed for individuals with neurological conditions like multiple sclerosis or complications from a cerebral vascular accident (CVA). These conditions affect muscle control in the lower limbs, especially the dorsiflexion muscles. Crispin Orthotics specialists created this orthosis to prevent foot drop during the swing phase of gait. The 3D-printed orthosis costs 50% less than carbon fiber and offers a more cosmetic design and accurate fit.

Benefits of using HP MJF technology:

  • Cost reduction compared to devices made from carbon fiber
  • Crispin designed the leaf spring to incline forward, eliminating the calf strap and making the device more cosmetic and lightweight.
